What's New at Tanney Motorsport
Well after the season is finally over and I have been very bad at keeping content coming on the web page. Sure, lots of photos, but no content....

Over the summer the web page web through a lot of back end work with updates to software, operating system, database etc, and the host machine seems to be happily running along. As part of the work, the old gallery has finally been dismantled and will have the last bits removed shortly.

So, as anyone looking or following the links provided noticed the gallery was completely reorganized with a new layout a complete different look. As well as motorsport photos, Wes' work is featured in the Wes' Miscellaneous Favourites folders.

Well, all the links (I hope) to the old gallery have been removed from the reports and now point to the new fan-dangled gallery photos. As of now, all links and bookmarks that contain gallery2 (note the number 2) are no longer valid. It's all about gallery3 these days, or so the hip kids tell me.....

Enjoy and stay tuned for the long awaited 2011 reports!

Wes
Wes made it out to Mosport's Driver Development Track for the first event in the new CASC-OR Ontario Time Attack Championship Series (OTA). This is another re-branding of the former Solo 1 and later SoloSprint Series.

The event was halted for two hours due to thunderstorms passing over Mosport between 10 am and noon, but everyone still managed to get two lapping sessions (Wes' were both in the wet) before getting two timed run sessions in dry conditions.

Wes and Sonia (as well as Odinn) packed up after the timed sessions were completed and left before the results were announced (or posted for that matter), so we have no idea how we did..... They say the results will be posted by Friday so stay tuned.

Sonia is no longer the official Series Photographer, but she did come out, but did not take pictures of everyone, just Wes. The highlights of those captured moments are posted for your viewing pleasure in the Photo Gallery.
Both Mark and Wes made the trip to Picton Airport on May 28th for Events 2 and 3 of the Provincial Autoslalom Championship. The intention was that Wes would run on just Saturday while Mark would stay and compete both days. Unfortunately the weekend was cut short during the final runs on Saturday due to cording (through the steel belts even) of one of the front tires.

This meant that Mark missed his final run on Saturday as well as not being able to run on Sunday.....

It was a dismal outing, all around. Wes finished second in the class of four with Mark fourth. Wes was over 2 seconds off the class winning pace, a lifetime in Autoslalom.

Results from the day are available here..... and some videos from the event can be found on Wes' YouTube channel.....
The Tanney Motorsport preliminary schedule has been posted. The results page shows the events that either Mark or Wes are currently thinking about attending, and there will likely be a few more events added over the coming weeks.

Also the 2010 Results have been made into it's own page with a link to it from the main menu.....

The unofficial results from this past Saturday's event have been added, but will likely change as it appears that both cars that finished in the first and second position were misclassified. If that is indeed the case, that would bump up both Wes and Mark to 1st and 2nd respectively. Stay tned for updates when the club releases the results.
Yesterday was the first event in the 2011 HADA Autoslalom Season.....

It was a beautiful day with a mix of sun and clouds. With about 32 competitors, there were lots of timed runs to be had. Put into an upper class due to some minor mods, there was no real hope of being competitive, but there was lots of fun!

It was an challenging day of the organizers, but still they had managed eight timed runs and an almost an hour of fun runs before wrapping up at about 3:40

Wes and Mark place 3rd and 4th in the class of 11, but at least one of the top two cars was grossly misclassified.

Running fairly fresh tires on the front and heat cycled out tires on the rear made for some interesting driving styles and cones were hit a plenty! Wes only managed three clean runs and Mark four (if memory serves me right).

Fun stuff. Wes also managed to take a bunch of photos, with Mark's help. To check out some of the action, pick http://www.tanneymotorsport.com/gallery3/index.php/autoslalom/2011Autoslalom, and select 2011 HADA Autoslalom - Event 1.
Tanney Motorsport's first event of the season is today. A conflict between the Provincial Series and the HADA Club Series has led to a choice..... Hmmmm....

Stay tuned for updates on the day.
As of this morning, March 22, 2011, Tanney Motorsport's web site has received 20000 (yes, twenty thousand) hits to the front end of the web page.

This count does not include all the hits to the photo gallery..

20,000 hits and still going strong!
Wow, it's already February and we are finally caught up on all 2010 Season reports. The Tanney Motorsport Fall 2010 Report is finally finished and posted. The Fall Report covers the finally of the SoloSprint Season at Shannonville as well as the last couple of club Autoslalom and track days, as well as The banquets.

An interactive html version of the Tanney Motorsport Fall 2010 Report is available as well as a downloadable pdf version which is available here.

There is still some more content from 2010 to come as we finally get around to the rest of the season's videos.....

Thanks once again to all Tanney Motorsport's Sponsors and supports for a great 2010 season!
Although Tanney Motorsport did not make it out to the annual HADA Year End Banquet and Awards, Wes was informed that he cleaned up with the awards

Wes won the Club Autoslalom Championship, Participation Championship and the Hard Luck Award. He was also informed that if it would have been awarded he would have won the HADA Overall Championship for the 8th (yes eighth) time!

Nice!
