Lettuce - June 25, 2014 - TD Toronto Jazz Festival Main Stage

New York City funksters Lettuce played the Main Stage at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival on June 25, 2014 to an enthusiast crowd. Before buying tickets (I went mainly for DDBB) I had never heard of Lettuce and I have to admit I was pleasant surprised. These former Berkley students served some funk up on platter for the mostly 20 or early 30 something crowd of apparent unemployable slackers. Fun show, the funk had a refined edge to it that made it refreshing. Think modernized Meters with horns....
